ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY (AUP)

1. PURPOSE

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines acceptable and prohibited uses of the services provided by Team Up Telecom (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services, messaging, and related communications platforms (“Services”).

This AUP is designed to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including those enforced by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and to protect the integrity, security, and reliability of our network.


2. APPLICABILITY

This AUP applies to:

  • All customers, users, and account holders
  • All use of Team Up Telecom Services
  • All devices and systems connected to our network

3. PROHIBITED USES

You may NOT use the Services to engage in, promote, or facilitate any unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity, including but not limited to:

3.1 Illegal Activities

  • Violating any local, state, federal, or international law
  • Engaging in fraud, identity theft, or deceptive practices
  • Unauthorized surveillance or interception of communications

3.2 Robocalling, Spam, and Messaging Abuse

  • Sending unsolicited bulk communications (“spam”)
  • Engaging in illegal robocalls or autodialing without proper consent
  • Violating Do-Not-Call (DNC) regulations
  • Caller ID spoofing in violation of applicable laws (including STIR/SHAKEN requirements)

3.3 Fraudulent and Deceptive Practices

  • Phishing, impersonation, or social engineering
  • Misrepresenting identity or affiliation
  • Traffic pumping or artificial traffic generation schemes

3.4 Harassment and Abuse

  • Threatening, harassing, or intimidating communications
  • Hate speech or abusive content
  • Repeated unwanted contact

3.5 Network and System Abuse

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • Interfering with or disrupting network operations
  • Introducing malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Excessive or abnormal usage that degrades service performance

3.6 Security Violations

  • Circumventing authentication or security measures
  • Unauthorized data access or data scraping
  • Exploiting system vulnerabilities

3.7 Content Violations

  • Transmitting illegal or harmful content
  • Distributing malware or malicious links
  • Hosting or sharing unlawful materials

4. CALLING AND MESSAGING COMPLIANCE

Customers must comply with all applicable laws regarding communications, including:

  • Obtaining proper consent before placing automated calls or sending messages
  • Maintaining records of consent where required
  • Providing opt-out mechanisms where applicable
  • Honoring all opt-out and Do-Not-Call requests

5. FAIR USE AND NETWORK INTEGRITY

To maintain service quality, we may:

  • Monitor usage patterns for abuse or excessive consumption
  • Limit or suspend usage that negatively impacts the network
  • Enforce reasonable usage thresholds

6. MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT

We reserve the right to:

  • Investigate suspected violations
  • Monitor network activity as necessary to ensure compliance
  • Remove or block offending content or traffic
  • Suspend or terminate Services without notice for violations
